Defending Our Constitution
I am a Conservative American who is most proud of our flag and the Constitutional Republic for which it stands—a Nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles and traditional values fostering liberty and prosperity for individuals, family, community, and country. I firmly believe in self-reliance, a diligent work ethic, and fighting for the American Dream—because I have lived it. Having served around the world, my objective now is to focus at the state and local level, to secure and protect a thriving lifestyle and culture for our families and local community. We can start by protecting and enforcing our United States and State of Alaska Constitutions.
My family lineage has supported and defended the Constitution of the United States ever since it was written, to include 19th century American soldiers, a World War I infantryman, a World War II B-17 bomber pilot, a Korean War fighter aircraft mechanic, and an Air Force Special Operations maintenance non-commissioned officer during the Vietnam War. I served for 32-years as a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot and senior staff officer during our recent conflicts. I have teenage sons who are student pilots, currently serving in the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, with my wife serving as a Senior Member in the squadron. We unequivocally believe that our Republic and our Constitution are worth fighting for.
I was reared and mentored in a Warrior aviation community where losing to the enemy was never an option, where achieving the most challenging objectives were expected, and where the lives of compatriots hinged upon our precise actions and words. A collaborative team effort of like-minded, professional Patriots repeatedly ensured mission success. Commitment and integrity were undisputed.
I am not a politician. My integrity cannot be purchased or compromised. I am not an individual who will promise constituents compliant representation only to compromise myself once elected for individual gain, personal benefit, or campaign monies. I will not waiver from our shared platform.
I desire to be your Representative—not a politico. It is the citizens of District 8 who hold the power—not the elected official. A bona fide Representative will identify, promulgate, and aggressively advocate for your District interests and objectives—without contrary actions that erode constituent trust. We are all on one District 8 Team and need to execute jointly to accomplish our desired objectives.
The current state of our Nation—and parallel actions within the State of Alaska—has motivated me to serve. Intelligent, collaborative, and decisive leadership is needed now to provide a viable pathway for our democratic institutions, economy, prosperity, traditional values, and security.
Exceptional Experience and Combat-Proven Leadership
I have decades of key leadership experiences that provide the necessary skills to navigate our path forward. These experiences include leading and employing large force fighter aircraft in high-risk combat missions, building and leading the F-22 Raptor program at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, building a multi-national Integrated Air and Missile Defense structure in the Middle East, and leading complex operations in the vast Asia-Pacific region—responsible for thousands of dedicated Warriors from all military service branches, and accountable for multi-billion dollar budgets. I have led combat organizations comprised of several hundred personnel that involved millions of dollars of equipment, training, and operating costs—all in a high-intensity, high-risk, unified effort to promulgate national policy, and to protect and defend our Constitution. I was entrusted with our Nation’s highest security qualifications to execute these tasks.
These leadership experiences—and the unique skills accrued leading people and achieving objectives while managing costs—translate directly into serving as your Representative. I have the distinct and necessary skill-set to collectively define and identify your District 8 objectives and intent, the tenacity and dedication to aggressively promulgate that intent for action, and collaboratively work with 59 other legislators to achieve District 8 objectives—all without deception, duplicity or compromise of our unified platform. I offer to you my leadership abilities to act upon and resolve our pressing District 8 issues.
Our collaborative effort will require communication and coordination throughout our District 8. I have met with many residents and will continue to meet with you in town hall meetings throughout the year.
